About me :)
HI! My name is Tamara Dodd and I am a passionate photographer that lives on the beautiful Gold Coast in South Queensland.

For the past few years of living in Australia, I have become very passionate about photography, ranging from landscape to portraits and expanding to multiple exposure. Because of the gorgeous beaches here on the Gold Coast, I have been able to explore and experiment with new and different ways to capture the beach in its beautiful forms. Landscapes have always been one of my favourite photography styles as capturing a beautiful view no matter what time of the day it is, its always beautiful. This can also come the same with portrait images. Portrait images are a way for me to capture a beautiful moment that a person is in, even if they are down or happy, the image always turns out beautiful with everyones unique features and facial expressions.

Even though I have only recently been interested in photography, I have always had an interest in taking photos, not because I was good at it but simply because I loved it. I always thought it was important to capture the moment you're in whether you were happy or sad, just for the purpose of being able to look back at them and reminisce, I want to keep the memories I've made close and vivid. Throughout my childhood my parents have always created albums full of photos for me and my siblings to be able to look back on as we got older, keeping those memories in place. But as I grew up, my passion for photos started to fade until I moved to Australia and started taking a digital art class. The class has really helped me to discover new and unique ways I can capture moments and even turn something so simple into something so different into a multiple exposure image.

Artist such as Aneta Ivanova and Carsten Witte have both inspired me to pursue my passion for multiple exposure. To be able to expand on a different path rather than staying on photography even though I do love a good landscape photo. Multiple exposure is a way for me to be able to work myself further and harder from portrait images, doing this gives them more character and wider ranges of meanings which are up for interpretation.

Reconnecting with my passion for photography throughout the past years have been a great experience, especially with the new ways I've learnt to edit and experiment with them. I am looking forward into being able to create new projects in the future with both my photography and portrait designs as I learn more ideas and ways they can be interpreted.
